David, thanks for making the effort - and I can tell you that Congress got the message! While we were making the rounds of Congress that day, staff told me that they were getting calls.

I'm a member from Leominster, MA and just want to report that I made a call to Rep. John Olver's office today. We need infrastructure support out here for biking and walking. The roads can be quite difficult and dangerous to negotiate, the only bike lane I've seen is on Grove Street which is one of the steepest hills in town, and there are many areas of the city that only have partial side walks.

So I will be working and watching to see that improvements are made. Increased funding, wherever it is applied, can only help to build more political momentum for changes in cities like mine.
