In Memoriam:
John Wald, an active member of the Bicycle Coalition of Massachusetts,
as MassBike was then known, and the massbike mailing list and editor of
the Mass Cyclist from 1993 through 1995, was killed in an avalanche on
Mt. Washington on March 24, 1996. John's family requested that donations
be sent to BCOM (now MassBike) or the AMC in lieu of flowers. Money received
by MassBike has gone toward a memorial along
the Minuteman Bikeway connection to Alewife MBTA station, an area of Cambridge
and Arlington in which John took an active interest. An article

celebrated his life and achievements. |
