On Saturday, July 28, MRC brings back their summer classic for a second year with some new additions (including us!!). Starting and ending at the Wachusett Brewing Company in Westminster, Mass., the ride will be hosted by cyclocross legend Tim Johnson and will traverse beautiful central Massachusetts roadways, including the legendary Wachusett Mountain climb. Proceeds from the event will benefit the our work as we continue to focus on bicycle legislation, safety, and education.

Many of you may know Tim as a member of our board of directors. But he's also the only American to race the World Championships in road, cross country mountain bike and cyclocross. As the first American to earn a medal at the UCI Cyclocross World Championships, he has led the globalization for 'cross and has been a part of the bicycle movement across the country and the world as a bike advocate. 

In addition to adding Tim Johnson to the mix, the ride will take on new routes for 2018. The first will be comprised of a challenging 70 mile ride with gravel sectors and the second, a friendly 40 mile ride. Check out the full routes on the registration page! Participants will ascend Wachusett Mountain and finish with a downhill roll to the Wachusett Brewing Company for great food, fantastic ales and fast friends hanging out in the outdoor beer garden or the recently opened indoor brew yard.
