Bay State Bike Month 2020 Wrap Up

Congrats to our leaders who raced their way up the leaderboard by taking trips and counting their miles. The big winners were REI Boston for the whole month, with Emmanuel College taking the top spot for the week-long MassCommute Bicycle Challenge.

We know this was a tough year, but we're proud of all the riders from across the commonwealth from the Berkshires to the Connecticut River Valley to the North Shore to Cape Cod, and everywhere in between, who helped keep the momentum going. We don't know what next year's Bay State Bike Month will hold, but we know we'll be out celebrating our movement because every month is bike month!

Thank You, Flat Top Johnny's!

In years past, we've all come together after successful Bike Challenges to celebrate with a Bike Bash at Flat Top Johnny's in Kendall Sq, Cambridge. Sadly, due to circumstances of a hard year, Flat Top Johnny's has permanently closed.

So this year, as we are virtually celebrating in our own safety bubbles, we wanted to share memories from past Bike Bashes in this sentimental video: https://youtu.be/SAvetBf9leA

Good luck to the wonderful staff and management of Flat Tops Johnny's, we love you and we wish you all the best as you shift gears to your next adventures! And thank you to Peter Cheung, tireless advocate and friend of the cause, for creating this video, and to Todd Consentino for providing the heartfelt soundtrack.
