Hello, i am wondering about the rules of bikes on the trains—amtrak and local around Boston and Pioneer Valley. Is MassBike active with getting bikes on board? Some years back, we were not allowed to bring our bikes along.

This year for Giving Tuesday, MassBike is focusing on bicycle education. Last week, we cited the urgent need for safer trucking as we spread the word about a new truck driver safety video that was created by the Joe Lavins Fund Committee aimed at teaching the complexities of urban driving. Now, as we continue to work towards better bicycling in Massachusetts, we recognize the need for education on all fronts. And yes, we mean all: bicyclists from 8 to 80, car drivers, commercial truck drivers, and all other users who take to our roads.
While we work with our partners at the state level such as MassDOT, the Registry of Motor Vehicles, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Safe Routes to School and local education programs, we need to do more. There are so many schools and institutions throughout the state that we do work with - but we have ambitions to provide quality bike education in all 351 cities and towns.
And we need your help to get there. Donate today, on this international day of giving, and help us meet our goal!
How does your bike safety knowledge stack up? Test out your bike smarts and take our Giving Tuesday quiz! And make sure to click "view score" at the end to see the answers.
Please join us in this effort and give now on Giving Tuesday!
