The annual BIKE-Arlington Tour is scheduled for Sunday morning, May 19, 2024. This easy-paced bicycle tour around town is organized by the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee (ABAC) in local celebration of Bay State Bike Month.

The family-friendly tour will pass on both local roadways and paved paths, featuring informational stops along the way.

This year’s community bike tour will meet in Arlington Center and travel on roads and bike paths around East Arlington, the Alewife Brook Reservation, and local parks. This year’s tour will feature recent and upcoming bicycle-friendly roadway improvements on Medford Street (Route 60), Warren Street, and Broadway. The 6-mile route will also include sections of the Minuteman Bikeway in Arlington and the Fitchburg Cutoff Bikepath in Belmont.

The BIKE-Arlington tour is FREE. Bicycle helmets are required, and all participants will be responsible for their own safety. Bring something to drink. Meet on Sunday, May 19, at 9:30 a.m. at the municipal parking lot behind the Jefferson Cutter House, 611 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington Center. The bike tour will return to Arlington Center around 11:30 a.m. Steady rain will cancel the bike tour.
