Bikes Not Bombs' 37th Annual Bike-A-Thon
Join us for the 37th Bike-A-Thon - we’re hosting a special after party in celebration of our 40th year!
Thanks to all of our riders and volunteers in 2023, we were able to raise over $195,000! This year, our fundraising goal is $230,000! Riders and event supporters help raise critical funds to support Bikes Not Bombs mission through:
- The reclamation of bikes for use in unique local and international social justice projects;
- Opportunities for youth and adults to gain hands-on skills while working to build a more sustainable world;
- Meaningful jobs and professional mentorship for Boston teenagers and young adults; and
- The expansion of a thriving, equitable bike culture, locally and globally.
Event Overview
Riders arrive at Stonybrook Field in Jamaica Plain on the day of the event between 6:45am and 10:30am, depending on their chosen route. Upon arriving, riders park their bikes (valet bike parking is provided), register if they have not already done so, enjoy a free breakfast, and get their bike checked by BNB mechanics before leaving on their ride!
All of the Bike-A-Thon routes will be clearly marked on the road and GPX routes will be available for download and use with a smartphone or a GPS bike computer. Each route will have at least one rest stop where riders can hydrate and fuel up on snacks. Each rest stop will be staffed by volunteers, including a bike mechanic and a medical professional for any bike repair or first aid needs.
All rides end at Stony Brook Field, where there will be an after-party with live music and delicious catered lunch, including many vegan and vegetarian options.
