2025 Statewide E-Bike Voucher Program
MassBike is thrilled to be partnering with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) for their statewide e-bike voucher program. This initiative aims to empower low- and moderate-income residents by making electric bicycles (e-bikes) more affordable than ever by providing vouchers to reduce the costs of electric assist bicycles. By making electric transportation accessible to more residents, the State will build a cleaner energy future that benefits all communities.
MassBike's role in this program is to engage the voucher recipients to help them get to know their bicycles, their local bicycling community, and to encourage use of their bikes. Over the course of the next few months, MassBike will lead education and support programs for e-bike riders by co-hosting events across Massachusetts.
We are currently planning programs in your community that will focus on safe riding practices and principles of biking in traffic and on trails, basic maintenance and upkeep, riding through winter and in inclement weather, and fire and battery safety. We will also co-host group rides and community events for folks to get together and go out for rides to explore their communities.
Help Us Engage and Spread the Word
Since the recipients will be connected to their local communities, we recognize that we will need to partner with local organizations to help facilitate connections to provide resources to these riders. If you would like to be a part of our engagement and event activities, please fill out this form. We’re looking for all sorts of partners, not just the bicycle advocacy groups, but really anyone who is interested in growing a community of riders.
