Join Us At The Cape Cod Bike Summit

The MassBike Cape Cod Chapter, Barnstable County Mass in Motion, the Town of Barnstable, and the Office of Senator Dan Wolf have been working hard the past several weeks to put together the first ever Cape Cod Bike Summit. The half-day summit will have a series of speakers discussing topics ranging from federal issues all the way down to local bike projects. We are especially pleased to have MassBike Executive Director David Watson give a short talk about bicycle advocacy around the state, and Programs Director Price Armstrong finish the summit off with a training on effective advocacy. Come to network with other bike enthusiasts on the Cape and hone your change-making skills at this must-attend event!

The timing for this summit is great, since biking is bigger than ever on the Cape. The Shining Sea Bikeway and the Cape Cod Rail Trail are heavily utilized paths during fair-weather months, and the Cape Code Regional Transit Authority recently published its "Getting To and Through Cape Cod" map to promote multimodal transportation. This summit is a great opportunity to meet other bike advocates, municipal and regional officials, and elected leaders interested in continuing the work of making bicycling safer and better on the Cape. See you in November!
