Event: MassBike Air & Oil Station - Cambridge

Description: Do you enjoy hanging out with fellow cyclists, conducting sparkling conversation, and eating pizza with a refreshing Harpoon beer, or soda? Then you won’t want to miss Volunteer Night on the second Tuesday of every month, from 5:30 - 8pm. It’s a chance to have some fun and help MassBike with a few easy administrative tasks. Public Meeting: Somerville, Beacon Street 75% Design Plans Meeting
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Argenziano School Cafetorium, 290 Washington St, Somerville, MA
Description: The City of Somerville will present its 75% design plans for the planned reconstruction of Beacon Street. As in previous designs, plans are expected to call for grade-separated cycle tracks in both directions along portions of the street, and standard bike lanes along other portions. MassBike strongly encourages Somerville residents to attend the meeting and speak in favor of the cycle track concept. Read more.

Meeting: Cambridge Bicycle Committee

Description: The Cambridge Bicycle Committee, established by City Council in 1991, works to improve conditions for bicyclists in the City of Cambridge and promote bicycling as a means of transportation. Read more.

Event: MassBike Commuter Breakfast - Southwest Corridor

Public Meeting: Boston, Connect Historic Boston
Time: 5:00 PM Open House, 6:30 PM Presentation, 7:00 PM Q & A
Location: Offices at the Government Center Parking Garage, 1 Congress Street, 11th Floor, Boston, MA
Description: The City of Boston will host this public meeting. According to the city, "the purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with updated information about the City of Boston’s Connect Historic Boston Project including: 1.) The latest design elements and features of the project, 2.) Construction that is on public recreation land, in historic districts and/or on historic properties, 3.) The City’s proposal to secure a right-of-way via temporary and permanent easements, and 4.) Next steps for the design and bidding process."

Public Meeting: Cambridge, Amory Street Community Meeting

Location: DPW office, 147 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA
Description: The Community Development Department and the Department of Public Works will be hosting a community meeting to discuss the upcoming Amory Street sidewalk and roadway reconstruction project. The project will also include pedestrian safety improvements and we are encouraging area residents to attend this meeting to learn more about the design and other important information related to the project. Public Meeting: Reading, Reconstruction of West Street Project
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Walter S. Parker Middle School, 45 Temple Street , Reading, MA
Description: The purpose of this MassDOT-hosted meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Reconstruction of West Street project. According to MassDOT, "the proposed project consists of pavement reclamation, utility relocation, the construction of new cement concrete sidewalks, the installation of new granite curbing, drainage improvements, the installation of new traffic signals and improved traffic signing and pavement markings. Bicycle accommodations are provided along West Street and consist of a usable shoulder." Read more.
