We are now entering high season for Bike Valet! Have you always wanted to try your hand at Bike Valet? We have a slew of exciting volunteer opportunities in the coming weeks, and we would love for you to join us.

Bike Valet is volunteer powered. As a volunteer, you will help raise the status of bicycling by providing a service that treats people who ride bikes like the VIPs we all are, and you will support MassBike's mission to make bicycling better and safer throughout Massachusetts.

Here are our upcoming opportunities:

• • Saturday, June 7: Cambridge River Fest, Central Square. MassBike will be providing Bike Valet parking at Cambridge River Fest. We will have two separate Bike Valet locations, with an early shift and late shift available at each. During your shift, you'll have the chance to take a break and check out the Cambridge River Fest music, vendors, food, and festivities. No previous Bike Valet experience necessary - we will train you. As a special thank you, volunteers will receive a Hub Bicycle saddle bag. Here are the shifts: 

• • • 9 AM - 2 PM: Lafayette Square (Site 1 - Shift 1). As a volunteer for 1st shift at Site 1, you will help setting up Bike Valet between 9 AM - 11 AM, then help with parking bikes and returning bikes at Bike Valet from 11 AM - 2 PM. • • • 9 AM - 2 PM: Barron Plaza (Site 2 - Shift 1). As a volunteer for 1st shift at Site 2, you will help setting up Bike Valet between 9 AM - 11 AM, then help with parking bikes and returning bikes at Bike Valet from 11 AM - 2 PM. • • Monday, June 9, 4:30 PM - 9 PM: Redbones 18th Annual Bike Party. This is Redbones' annual celebration of biking, brews, and BBQ. As a special thank you, volunteers will get one meal ticket, one drink ticket, and one raffle ticket! As a volunteer, you will help setting up Bike Valet between 4:30 PM - 5 PM, then help with parking bikes and returning bikes at Bike Valet from 5 PM - 9 PM. After Bike Valet closes at 9 PM, volunteers will help breaking down Bike Valet and loading out supplies. This should take 10 - 20 minutes, maximum.

During your shift, you'll have multiple opportunities to take breaks and enjoy the Redbones Bike Party festivities, including delicious barbecue, craft brews, and good company. No previous Bike Valet experience necessary - we will train you.
