Cambridge Annual Spring Community Bike Ride
Join the Cambridge Annual Spring Community Bike Ride on Saturday, May 18! More info at cambridgema.gov/bikerides
Time: Arrive between 8:30 - 9:00 AM; ride departs at 9:30 AM and returns approximately 12:00 PM
Where: Meet at Joan Lorentz Park in front of the Cambridge Main Library, 449 Broadway
The ride will go at a relaxed pace on mostly level terrain.
Bike mechanics will be on hand before the ride to make quick safety checks. The mechanics will be making minor adjustments, like tire pressure, and emergency repairs only. Please make sure your bike is in reasonable working order before the ride. If you are interested in learning more about how to repair your own bike, check out these instructional videos posted online.
Note: You MUST arrive early if you want a bike check; the ride leaves at 9:30 sharp whether or not all bikes have been checked.
Children comfortable riding their own bicycles are welcome, but we ask that very young children ride with their adults in trailers, seats, tag-alongs, cargo bikes, etc.
If you do not have access to a bicycle for the ride, you may request a free Bluebikes pass for the day by sending an email to [email protected] no later than Tuesday, May 14.
The ride will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
There is no registration or charge for the tour – just show up and enjoy!
