CISA's Pedal to Pasture
Join CISA for our first-ever guided farm tour by bike!
Pedal to Pasture is an immersive and engaging experience for all ages and levels of experience. Riders will be led through a guided tour of scenic roads and fields, get an inside look at three local farms’ growing practices, and hear farmers’ stories of the benefits and challenges of farming today in the Connecticut River Valley.
With two guided groups, you can choose your preferred pace on this flat 12-mile loop ride. All levels and abilities are welcome, as are e-bikes and pedal-assist bikes. Bring your own bike. Each group will enjoy two 30-minute stops for tours of two vegetable farms, plus a tour at our start/finish location, Prospect Meadow Farm.
When: Sunday, June 2nd, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Time: Arrive at Prospect Meadow Farm between 8:15-8:30 for a bike safety check and route overview with our guides.
Cost: Registration is open to all, with a sliding scale of $75-$150 per person, and $40 for children (16+) under 18. Proceeds benefit CISA's mission of building a better local food system in western Massachusetts.
You’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and a refreshing Crooked Stick popsicle after the ride.
Weather and cancellation policy: This event will happen rain or shine though if riding conditions are unsafe, we will cancel. Registration fees will carry over to next year’s tour.
Space is limited, so pre-register today!
