28th Annual Ciclismo Classico Jingle Ride
Come join us for the 28th annual Ciclismo Classico Jingle Ride, one of the longest-running Boston holiday sporting events and certainly one of the most colorful. What started as a simple and fun idea to bring some cycling magic to the holidays has evolved into an annual event that many come to year after year. For those who love a parade, love to sing, or get a kick out of wearing antlers or a holiday costume, the Jingle Ride is a must for your holiday calendar.
As is tradition, this year’s ride starts and ends at the Kickstand Cafe, the popular café in Arlington Center next to the Minuteman Bikeway. Registration begins at 10:00 am. Delicious hot beverages and pastries are available for purchase from this bike-loving business.
The 18.5-mile ride (round-trip) follows the Minuteman Bikeway and then rolls thru Harvard Square, the Esplanade, Boston Common, Downtown Crossing, Faneuil Hall, and down Newbury Street. The group makes occasional stops to sing carols for passersby and enjoys bringing some unexpected holiday cheer to all who witness the group. Click here for the official 2024 route.
A $25 suggested donation is welcomed benefiting MassBike. MassBike is dedicated to improving bicycling for all riders across Massachusetts. Over the years, this colorful Ciclismo Classico tradition has raised thousands of dollars for other non-profit organizations like Horizons for Homeless Children.
NOTE: To streamline the donation process, we will no longer be accepting cash & checks at check-in. Please make your donation at the time of registration (now), or scan the QR code on ride day at check-in to make a contactless donation.
Remember, the Jingle Ride is a parade, not a race – so if you have a bicycle, we’d love your holiday spirit along for the ride!
