Ride for Black Lives
Since the Spring of 2020, R4BL has organized protest rides to bring awareness to racial disparities and police brutality. 2023 was a sabbatical year, but we're back, and looking forward to our first ride in May 2024 for Bike Month.
In previous years, we focused on gathering community in the wake of George Floyd's murder. The experience was healing and brought the cycling community together to in solidarity, amplifying the call for liberation for Black lives. This year, while we will continue to organize rides, our focus will be community capacity building and anti-racism training.
9:30-10 - Snacks + beverages
10-10:30 - Community Building + Education
10:30 - Depart
The ride will be less than 10 miles, though there will be an option to ride back to White Stadium after with a group! There will also be a group dropping by Boston Harbor Distillery after the ride for some drinks (waiver pending)!
Families and riders with children are welcome to leave after we reach our destination.
Please make a donation to bring education and community building programming to Boston's cycling community, and to ensure that this work is sustainable. #nofreeblacklabor. Donate Here
