Join Us for Pedal Power at the Museum of Science – Ride, Learn, and Celebrate!

Are you ready to celebrate the power of bicycling and community? Mark your calendars for Pedal Power: Celebrating Community Through Biking on Saturday, August 24th, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Museum of Science, Boston! This one-day event is all about embracing people-centered transportation and how it can help us live sustainably on Earth.

In partnership with HUBLUV and as part of the Museum's Year of the Earthshot, Pedal Power will feature a resource fair and guest presentations focusing on the positive impacts of biking and pedestrian infrastructure. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with community organizations doing incredible work around Greater Boston, learn about how biking can improve personal health, and see how we can all contribute to addressing the climate crisis.

Throughout the day, explore informational and activity tables in the Exhibit Halls and listen to inspiring speakers on the Museum’s stages. This event is a great way to increase your biking confidence and join a growing community of cyclists who are making a difference.

For those looking to arrive in true cycling style, Bike to the Sea is hosting a group ride to the event. This 12.5-mile round trip will take you from the Bike Kitchen in Malden to the Museum of Science, with a scenic route along the newly constructed Green Line and Community Path Extension in Somerville. This is a fantastic way to warm up for the event and enjoy some of the newest biking infrastructure in the area. There’s also an optional group ride back to Malden for those who want to continue the fun! Learn more at Bike to Sea’s website.

For those who go by bike to the Pedal Power event, MassBike is providing secure bike valet parking.

MassBike is currently seeking volunteers to help staff the bike valet and our table at the event. If you're passionate about cycling and want to lend a hand, please reach out to Emma at [email protected].

This is an event you won’t want to miss—ride with us, learn with us, and help celebrate the power of community through biking.
