This is your opportunity to connect with your local senator and representative, discuss key bike-friendly policies, and help ensure bicycling remains a priority across the commonwealth.
Ways to Participate
1. Attend Lobby Day at the State House
Join us in Boston for a traditional lobby day experience. Participants will benefit from:
- Virtual training on effective advocacy (MA Lobby Day Info Session on February ?th at ?pm)
- A morning briefing to kick things off
- Printed copies of MassBike’s legislative priorities.
- In-meeting support from MassBike staff (optional)
- A post-meeting regroup to share your experiences.
2. Engage Locally in Your District
Can’t make it to Boston? No problem! Set up a meeting with your legislator in your district during the week following Lobby Day, from February 9th to 14th, 2026. We’ll provide you with:
- Virtual training on effective advocacy (MA Lobby Day Info Session on February ?th at ?pm)
- One-pagers summarizing our bike-friendly legislative priorities
Schedule for February 3, 2026 at the State House
- 10:00 AM: Coffee and light breakfast in Room 428 (provided by MassBike).
- 10:20 - 10:45 AM: Morning Briefing on Lobbying Best Practices, co-hosted by MassBike and Senator Will Brownsberger’s staff.
- 10:45 - 11:00 AM: Collect meeting materials and prepare for scheduled visits.
- 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Scheduled meetings with legislators.
- 4:00 - 4:30 PM: Regroup to debrief and share highlights.
