Did you know there’s a unique Tesla battery system inside the Arnold Arboretum?

Or that the Lost Pond Sanctuary in Brookline is a unique glacial kettle hole peat bog?

Or that MassBike is advocating to extend and connect the Upper Falls Greenway spur with other rail trails to connect the rail trails inside I-95 with the rail trails outside?

Learn about these places, and more, on the new MassBike Historical Urban Dirt Ride.

Join MassBike on an entertaining and educational bicycle tour through some off-road and back roads of Boston, Brookline, and Newton. Along the way, MassBike’s guides will highlight areas of historical interest, as well as areas of active MassBike advocacy.

The ride will start and end at a historic house in Roslindale, where you can relax post-ride with socially-distanced refreshments and learn more about MassBike and its efforts across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This is an intermediate-level ride and we recommend a gravel/CX bike, or city/hybrid with wide tires, as there are some rooty sections in the ride. We estimate that the ride will take 3.5 hours.

Don't want to ride? You are welcome to join us for the post-ride backyard gathering for food and drink. Beer is being provided by Distraction Brewing Company.

This wheelie-fun time is limited to the first 10 guests. Please select your donation level below– we can't wait to ride with you.

The rain date for this event will be April 25th.
