Worcester E-Bike Pilot Rental Program Launching and 2025 National Night Out
We had a great time at the E-Bike Pilot Rental Program Launching on Tuesday, August 5th in Worcester. There are now 10 e-bikes that can be rented at the entrance to Union Station. Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty and City Manager Eric Batista, along with CEC Director Rachel Ackerman and other state and city officials, joined the event. A few of our E-Bike Program participants also attended. It was nice to see e-bikes from both programs (MassBike E-Bike and Metro Mobility) parked together!
Thanks to this program, low cost e-bike rentals are now available at the WRTA Central Hub in Worcester, offering a convenient and affordable new transportation option for WRTA riders to connect to their destination. E-bikes are available to rent for just $1 per day or overnight rental. You can find more info here.
On the same day, we also tabled at the 2025 Worcester Night Out with WalkBike Worcester, Seven Hills Wheelmen, and Worcester Earn-A-Bike. MA State Representative David Leboeuf stopped by to say hi. Our table was also visited by MA Senator Michael Moore, City Councilor at Large Kristian King, District 4 City Councilor Luis Ojeda, and other city officials. This gave all of us the opportunity to chat about what our organizations are doing to promote safe cycling in our state.
More than 120 organizations joined our public safety partners for a fun night out for families who enjoyed the food trucks, entertainment, prizes, and more.
Our gratitude to Nathalie G and John H for holding down the fort for more than six hours, as well as Karin V from WalkBike Worcester, Dale W from Seven Hills Wheelmen, and community volunteers John F, Lynn F, and Jim B.
We’ll be tabling again this Saturday, August 16, 2025, at REC Farmers Market (University Park), and Coes Family Day on Saturday, Aug 23. Please join us if you’re available!
