Sunday Cruise on the Bruce Freeman and Mass Central Rail Trails
Come and check out where the Mass Central Rail Trail (MCRT) and the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail (BFRT) connect on a Saturday morning. Registration for this hike is required. Please click here to register
WHEN: Sunday, June 14th from 9:30am to 11:30am
WHERE: Parkinson Field Lot behind 40 Hudson Rd in Sudbury. Google Maps Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gVSqozeuvVw7nVgTA
WHAT TO EXPECT: A 2 hour ride on two extensive rail trails in eastern Massachusetts. We will ride at a pace of about 10mi/hour for just under 2 hours. This will be a scenic and social ride on paved rail trails with a few road crossings. The goal of this ride is to experience a new extension of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and to make new friends! We will not be aiming for speed but will go the distance by riding at a casual pace for about 18 miles. This ride will be most comfortable for people who have spent time on their bikes already this spring and have built some riding endurance. It is also ideal for people who want to ride a good distance and do not want to ride on the road.
WHAT TO BRING: Your bike, helmet, and comfortable clothing for riding. A breezy morning can be chillier than you'd expect! Please also come prepared with 2L of water and snacks that you carry either in a small pack or on your bike. If you have a bike maintenance/repair kit, that is also encouraged.
WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED: The ride leader will bring along some donuts
