Charlie Proctor was killed while out on a bike ride on May 5, 2020, just nineteen days before his twenty-eighth birthday. He was a kind, adventurous, intelligent man who spread his joy and zest for life to everyone he knew. Join us on Sunday, May 29, 2022, to ride for Charlie and celebrate his life by raising funds for safer roadways.

This is a casual-paced ride with 20-mile and 40-mile route options leaving from the Tufts Bacow Sailing Pavilion with an after-ride celebration for Charlie. Both routes will ride along the Minuteman Bikeway for a portion of the ride, while on the bikeway we ask riders to maintain a slow speed and be respectful of all pathway users. This is a family-friendly event, please feel encouraged to bring children and ride as much or as little of the route as you want. There will be rest stops set up along the routes to support your ride.

Final event routes and start times will be shared with registered participants before the event. Riders can start any time after 9am but must be finished with their ride by 2pm. The after-ride celebration will start as soon as the first riders arrive back at the Tufts Bacow Sailing Pavilion.

This event is rain or shine, except in the event of extreme weather conditions in which it will be canceled. The event is limited to 100 riders, so don't miss your chance to ride for Charlie.

For people who don't have bikes or who are coming in from out of town, we recommend checking out Urban AdvenTours for rental options.

The $100 registration fee will go to the Charlie Proctor Memorial Fund. Select your preferred ride option (20-mile or 40-mile) and you will be directed to the check-out page.
