MassBike is thrilled to host a community event for the e-bike voucher participants to get comfortable with their bikes and join their fellow e-bikers in a bicycle safety workshop, hosted in partnership with Worcester Earn-a-Bike on Saturday, July 26 from 11a-2p. This event will be part of the Smart Cycling series, which focuses on bicycling skills, teaching the principles of riding in traffic, and practice biking in an urban setting. We will also go over the essential do-it-yourself maintenance to keep your bicycle rolling safe and smooth. 

Worcester Earn-a-Bike is a community space that provides free access and guidance for bicycle maintenance. The shop will be open during this event, so you will get to meet the managers and volunteers who make up this great resource.

When: Saturday, July 26, from 11a-2p

Who: The E-Bike Voucher Recipients 

The event will be three parts:

• 1 hour of discussion of bike safety + traffic principles
• 1 hour of hands-on maintenance 
• 1 hour of group ride, round-trip around Downtown Worcester

Please bring your bicycle, if you can, so you can practice basic maintenance and join our group ride. You will also need weather-appropriate clothing, your bicycle helmet, and close-toe shoes.

RSVP is required so we can make sure we coordinate the space, provide further details for logistics, and provide enough snacks for everyone. We hope you can join!
