Annual Fall Colors Ride
The annual Fall Colors Ride begins and ends at Night Shift Brewing in Everett on Sunday, Oct. 29 and includes the new extension of the Northern Strand Trail under Route 16.
Bike riders should meet at 11 a.m. outside the Night Shift Brewing at 87 Santilli Highway in Everett, Mass. The free ride is expected to last 90 minutes. Helmets are required for riders 16 years old and younger per state laws. Children, 8 and older, are welcome.
Route: Covering a little over 15 miles of paved trail along the Northern Strand Trail in Everett and Malden, as well as along bike paths on both sides of the Mystic and Malden Rivers through Somerville and Medford. The terrain is mostly flat. Portions of route are on street.

Parking is available in a small lot at the brewery and along the street. In the case of steady rain, the event will be canceled, so keep an eye out for weather updates. Any questions can be directed to Pete Sutton at [email protected]
Anyone is welcome to join the ride for free, but only after filling out our waiver (at least once every year). And if you don’t have a 2023 Bike to the Sea Membership then you can only go on 1 ride organized by Bike to the Sea per year. Basic memberships cost $25 and are available here.
