Join Amber Stearns, the Bay Circuit Trail Coordinator, on the BCT on Sunday, July 27th from 9:30am - 1:30pm. This work party will make some improvements to a section of trail in Wayland, MA. Our work will result in a fresh and gently graded trail to improve access to the BCT from the brand new Community Center in Wayland Town Center!

 

WHAT: Vegetation clearing, trail construction, grading of tread, and blazing of the trail

WHEN: Sunday, July 27th. Estimated timeline is 9:30am - 1:30pm but we may be finished sooner depending on volunteer turnout!

WHERE: Meet outside the Wayland Community Center, 8 Andrew Ave, Wayland @ 9:30am

WHAT TO BRING: At least 2L of water, snacks and/or a trail lunch. Wear long pants and work boots, bring bug spray and sun protection and whatever else you may need to feel comfortable. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own work gloves and eye protection if you have it! Tool for the project will also be provided. Bathrooms are available in nearby establishments (community center, coffee shop, Stop & Shop, etc.)

 

Please reach out to Amber with any inquiries you may have! She will be in communication with participants prior to the event. No experience is necessary to attend this event, just enthusiasm and the willingness to do some digging!
