Join MIT affiliates for a Thursday morning ride on the Minuteman Bikeway.

This event is open to all, regardless of MIT affiliation.

This event could be canceled abruptly.

Ride Status Updates will be post no later than 8:30 AM on the day of the ride.
The event will be canceled if 1) the organizer is unable to attend, 2) the predicted temperature <45°, or 3) probability of rain >25%.

🕙 When and Where:
Thursdays. 10 AM, unless noted otherwise. Duration: 1.5-2.5 hour
Ride begins and ends at Thorndike Field Park parking lot (free parking).

🚴‍♂️ Ride Details:
We’ll cycle at a relaxed pace of 10–12 mph on the Minuteman Bikeway, from Thorndike Field Parking lot to Bedford’s Depot Park, 20 miles round trip. If there is interest, we will stop at the Kickstand Café ☕ in Arlington on our way back. We will return to Thorndike Field Parking lot between 11:30 – 12:30 depending on our pace and duration at Kickstand Café.

When it’s safe, cyclists are encouraged to ride two abreast so as to facilitate conversations.

It is not uncommon for cyclists to join us for only part of the ride.

Note: Each participant is responsible for their own safety and agrees to hold harmless MIT, the MIT Club of Boston, and the event organizer for any injuries or consequences arising from participation. Helmets are required.
