Rail Trail Victory in Leominster!

We've got a victory to report for rail trails in Massachusetts!

The Leominster City Council voted 8-0 on Monday night to approve all of the necessary easements for the Twin Cities Trail project to move forward.

Because the Fitchburg City Council voted unanimously to approve the city's easements earlier this summer, the project has now received all of the local approvals it needs. The project will be put out to bid this fall, with construction scheduled to begin in the spring.

Kudos to the Twin Cities Rail Trail Association for their dedication and hard work to make sure this measure passed! And we echo their thanks and appreciation of the Leominster city councilors, Mayor Dean Mazzarella, and economic development coordinator Nikki Peters for all their hard work as well.
