MassBike to Host a League Cycling Instructor Seminar in Worcester this April

Lexington LCI Seminar - October 2021

MassBike is hosting a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) Seminar in Worcester this April to increase the number of quality bicycling instructors in Massachusetts. We're seeking folks passionate about bicycling to join this intensive training program designed to prepare participants to facilitate bicycling education and get more folks riding. During the course, attendees will learn a variety of instruction techniques and practice on-bike skills to teach riders of all ages.

The LCI Seminar is taking place from April 28th through April 30th in Worcester at the Blackstone River Valley Heritage Center. Registration is open now, with an early bird cost of $500. Those who complete the seminar will be certified Bike League Instructors, which comes with various benefits including access to the LCI network and materials to host bicycling education events in their community.

To enroll in the program, participants must first complete the Bike League's Smart Cycling Course. This includes both the online Smart Cycling exam and in-person on-bike training. MassBike is planning to host at least one free in-person Smart Cycling Course this March to help interested individuals meet this requirement.

More information and the registration page can be found at the link below. If you have questions about the course, reach out to Galen at [email protected].
